    Delicious meal

One of my favorites from pinnacle foods. Nice texture, delicious taste.
BUT (and this is my general experience with all their meals!): I would recommend to use a little less than the recommended 1.5 cups of hot water. I am using like 10oz and from my perspective the texture and creaminess gets way better generally.

    As good as homemade

I dehydrate my own meals before going camping, because I can make them healthier and tastier than buying the generic dehydrated meals. However, the Pinnacle meals are amazing and just as good if not better than the meals that I make.

    Good meal

I like this meal. Nice flavor and everything rehydrated pretty well. The sauce was a little thin but it wasn't bad. I saw one of the reviews mentioned using slightly less water - I would probably try that next time to see if the sauce tightens up a little more. Overall this is another great meal from Pinnacle and one I will buy again.

1st try with Pinnacle Foods - Best Freeze Dried Meal I've had

I ordered a variety of meals from Pinnacle recently and just got a chance to try the Tuscan Chicken. I've tried most of the other options out there (MH, PR, BP, etc...) and this beats them all. As another reviewer said, it tastes like something I made at home or ordered at a restaurant. Freeze-dried meals are expensive but with this quality, $16 is worth it now having tried it. Hearty and delicious as prepared per the directions. I agree with others, that I would use a little less water and leave it for a little more time next time as is the case with most F-D meals I've eaten. Can't wait to try the others I've ordered!

    Delicious

Pinnacle makes the best freeze dried meals I have had. On trips, I look forward to these above all else. I dry my own meals and they are quite good - better than most freeze dried. The meals from Pinnacle beat out my own cooking.

    Quick and easy!

If you’re looking for a no frills, delicious meal, this is for you! It needed some salt added, but otherwise it was great after a long day on trail. I had to let it rehydrate for a few more minutes than suggested (around 16-18) to get the chicken full rehydrated, but that was fine. Set it and forget it! I love penne pasta so this was a no brainer for me. Definitely a tasty meal!

    Oh. My. Gawd.

Incredible! Big chunks of chicken breast, beautifully seasoned, satisfying. This is my favorite between this brand and another competing brand. Highly recommend.

    Another Winner!

I have tried every backpacking food brand version of this and Pinnacle's version is hands down the best. It tasted amazing after a long day of heavy backpacking. All the ingredients re-hydrated greatly at 12,000+ feet. I just ordered more of these.

High energy meal after a long day...

This meal is delicious and hardy after a long day on the trail. Thick creamy sauce with tender noodles and big chicken pieces. Highly recommend this meal over similar meals from others. Pinnacle meals taste like you made the food yourself, no joke.

    Mixed feelings...

Don't get me wrong this is an amazing meal. As with all their meals, the flavors and textures are spot on. And I'd prefer this meal over soooo many others out there. This is just one of my least favorite from Pinnacle. However that's saying that the home run was only 400 ft instead of 415 ft... They still killed it with one compared to the other grub that's out there.

    Like the name says

This camp meal is truly the pinnacle of what solid camp nutrition should be. I chose to sample the creamy Tuscan chicken while the rest of my camp mates cooked up sirloin steaks this last weekend and truly, several of them were staring my meal down because it looked and smelled amazing. I love the high calorie/ounce ratio and expect to buy this and more from Pinnacle Foods to take backpacking this summer.

    Amazing!!!

I have tried almost any backpacking food brand that exists over the past 10 years. This was the best meal ever! Lots of chicken and other ingredients, great taste and texture and a generous portion!

    The second best flavour

This was my favourite until Italian Sausage and Zesty Tomato Sauce with Farfalle Pasta, and Parmesan. I'd recommend putting a little less water than instructed if you do not want soup.

    Wow! I am shocked!

When I took the first bite while winter camping in Munising for an ice climbing trip this year I was stunned. How could it be this good?!?!?!?! It felt like I put a $25 plate of pasta in a pouch.

The biscuits and gravy was my favorite of yours but it only took one bite for that to change to this one!

Everyone should do themselves a favor and buy this one if they haven't yet!

Best Meal I've tried in a while

Had this meal on my last trip and was very satisfied with the amount of chicken and the overall flavor for a rehydrated meal. I will definitely be buying this one again.

Great Meal! I have gotten everyone one of my friends converted to Pinnacle foods! Once they taste it they immediately ask for another bite. Sorry Mountain House.

    Happy Wife Happy Life!

Food and sleep system were two concerns to overcome to get my wife to join on backpacking trips. Food Check Check with Pinnacle Foods! Creamy Tuscan is one of our favorites for sure with great homemade flavors and well the ambiance in the woods is way better than fine Italian Dining. Buy it you wont regret.

As if you're in the restaurant

I was expecting it to be better than other brands because of the price, but I was more than surprised with how good this meal tasted.

    Incredible Pasta

This pasta is amazing. It’s creamy, delicious, and filling! I ordered more of these because of how good it was, and I love being able to eat gourmet meals while I am backpacking on the trail. Definitely get yourself this pasta when it is available!

    Easily the best

This is hands down the best dehydrated meal I’ve ever had. I enjoy the Italian sausage/farfalle one but I genuinely had no idea that dehydrated meals could hit this level of quality and taste.. The chicken, unlike what happens with dehydrated beef seems to hydrate perfectly and tastes almost identical to freshly cooked chicken breast. When they're back in stock everyone else better watch out, because I may buy all they have.

    Amazing

I watched Dan Becker’s episode about pinnacle foods and thought why not try it. Pinnacle is by far the BEST backpacking food I have ever tasted! I will continually support a company like Pinnacle. Only gripe is the cost, but you get what you pay for!!!! Will buy again and again!

    Best Meal

The Creamy Tuscan Chicken with Penne Pasta is by far the best backpacking meal that I have ever had. It has great flavor and texture. I would enjoy a meal of this caliber at home for any easy to make meal, not just on trail. Was very excited to see them back in stock this morning.
